Artist. Storyteller. Visionary.

Sarah Marie Picard

Sarah Marie Picard is a multidisciplinary artist and performer whose work bridges dance, film, and photography — creating spaces where story and movement meet.

A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Sarah began her career performing on stage and screen (So You Think You Can Dance, Once Upon a Time, The Joyce Theater), before evolving into a choreographer and director devoted to emotional truth and transformation through performance.

She is the founder and artistic director of SMP Dance Company, a story-driven contemporary dance theatre company creating original works that explore the human experience through movement. Through Acting for Dancers, her signature training platform, Sarah guides artists in uncovering confidence, authenticity, and freedom through storytelling and emotional intelligence.

Her creative production studio, Picard Studios, extends that mission through the lens — offering portraiture, branding, and visual storytelling rooted in presence, artistry, and transformation.

Across each medium, Sarah’s work reflects a singular vision: to awaken truth, connection, and courage in artists and audiences worldwide.

Where movement becomes language, and story becomes home.
